A prestigious global independent asset manager is seeking a high-caliber Director of Institutional Sales to spearhead business development efforts across Greater China and Southeast Asia (SEA). Based in Singapore, this is a high-visibility, individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO. The firm is looking for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a lean, agile environment and can operate independently to drive significant AUM growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing mandates with top-tier institutional clients, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and endowments.
• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional distribution strategy for the Greater China and SEA markets.
• Product Advocacy: Act as a specialist for the firm's investment suite, with a primary focus on articulating the value proposition of Private Credit and Public Credit strategies.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with key institutional stakeholders and consultants within the region.
• Market Intelligence: Provide real-time feedback on market trends, competitor landscapes, and regulatory changes to the global leadership team.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 12-15 years of proven institutional sales experience within the asset management industry.
• Asset Class Expertise: A strong, verifiable track record in selling Private Credit or Public Credit funds is essential.
• Regional Track Record: Deep existing networks within Greater China and Southeast Asia. Candidates with a strong historical track record in the Hong Kong market will be at a significant advantage.
• Operational Style: You must be comfortable working as a standalone, individual contributor within a lean team structure. A "self-starter" mindset is non-negotiable.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or MBA credentials are highly preferred.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation skills. While the working language is English, fluency in Mandarin is advantageous for covering the Greater China region.
