Description
We are seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to join our IT services team supporting banking systems across Africa. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between clients (banks and SACCOs) and technical implementation teams, ensuring smooth communication, accurate requirements, and efficient problem resolution.Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for client banks, analyzing issues and providing solutions where possible.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements; prepare BRDs and communicate them to implementation partners.
- Perform system parameterization and provide configuration guidance when applicable.
- Work with APIs (SOAP & REST), analyze results, and support integrations.
- Write and execute SQL queries to perform data analysis and problem investigation.
- Support change requests, enhancements, and new feature analysis.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-4 years of professional experience, ideally in a bank, SACCO, or IT services company.
- Strong technical background, solid knowledge of SQL, APIs (SOAP/REST), & Excel.
- Ability to prepare clear documentation (BRDs, specifications).
- Familiarity with basic banking concepts.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel when required.
