Note: Internally this role is referred to as Specialist I TIS EA Portfolio Architect.
What You Will Do:
- Define and maintain BU application and enterprise technology roadmaps, aligned to strategic objectives, investment priorities, and modernization goals, including technical debt remediation.
- Drive application portfolio governance by leading rationalization, modernization, retirement decisions, M&A due diligence support, and presenting approved decisions through enterprise governance forums.
- Own business case development and financial rigor, including lifecycle cost modeling, Class 5 estimate creation, and review/approval of Class 3 and Class 1 estimates at PMO stage gates.
- Provide architectural oversight and assurance by reviewing solution designs, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards, PMO stagegating, and approved design patterns.
- Ensure operational readiness and seamless transition to operations, validating TTO documentation, sustainment costs, support models, and addressing operational capability gaps ahead of deployment.
- Collaborate, document, and mentor by partnering with BRMs and domain architects to document application landscapes and integrations, while coaching architects and fostering continuous improvement.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, College OR three-year technical diploma.
- Certifications in Azure, TOGAF, or other relevant domains are preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in architecture-focused roles.
- Ability to design and deliver complex, large‑scale solutions, ideally within the energy sector or Enbridge TIS portfolio.
Technical and Business Knowledge:
- Strong background in IT portfolio planning, application lifecycle management, and aligning technology roadmaps with business strategy.
- Deep expertise across enterprise architecture domains: applications, cloud, data & analytics, integration, security, DevOps, and agile delivery.
- Demonstrated experience with architectural governance, technology standards, and solution design within complex portfolios.
- Skilled in investment planning, business case development, cost estimation, and execution within PMO stage‑gated frameworks.
- Practical understanding of major enterprise platforms and tools (e.g., Azure, SAP, Power Apps, Power BI, .NET, Java, SQL) to guide technology decisions.
- Effective collaborator and influencer, able to partner with business leaders, BRMs, and domain architects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Work Products and Deliverables:
- Contextual, high-level, and detailed solution architectures, including nonfunctional requirements, deployment blueprints, and EA checklist completion.
- Class 5, 3, and 1 estimates, including execution forecasting and sustainment cost modeling.
- Technology decision records and updates to architectural roadmaps, TWG submissions, APM entries, and CMDB accuracy.
- Test strategies, test plans and results, and QA/testing remediation documentation review.
- Data migration and disposition plans, transition-to-operations documentation, and confirmation of decommissioning or data disposition activities.

- Excellent communication, customer service, problem solving, and decision making capabilities at all organizational levels.
- Deep understanding of business needs and drivers, maintaining high levels of trust, credibility, and user confidence.
- Enterprise oriented mindset with the ability to balance business processes, regulatory considerations, and strategic priorities.
- Highly effective in coordination, organization, prioritization, and managing multiple concurrent demands in a fast paced environment.
- Analytical and adaptable, able to independently evaluate complex issues, respond constructively under pressure, and deliver results within matrixed, high accountability environments.

Ontario only:
Salary range is $100,000 - $130,000 CAD. Salary will based candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. *Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
