We are currently representing an exciting and top performing hedge fund who are seeking an experienced Long/Short Equity Market Neutral Portfolio Manager to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage a discretionary equity portfolio with a focus on Asian markets, delivering consistent alpha through rigorous fundamental research and disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and manage a market-neutral long/short equity portfolio with exposure to Asian equities.
• Can be a specialist in any one of Indian, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean Equities (language proficiency in the relevant market is highly desirable).
• Can also have Broader Asia coverage.
• Maintain strict adherence to risk limits and leverage guidelines.
• Conduct deep fundamental analysis on companies within chosen coverage universe.
• Generate differentiated investment ideas and implement them with clear catalysts.
• Deliver strong, consistent returns aligned with firm objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Proven expertise in long/short market-neutral strategies.
• Strong understanding of Asian equity markets and macroeconomic drivers.
• Min USD $10mn annual P&L over the past 2-3 years.
• Managed a book of at least USD $300mn in capital.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to communicate investment ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Language skills are an additional benefit, specifically within the coverage regions
