Growing local business requires a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to join their team on the North Shore Your new company
A rapidly expanding national business in the services sector is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join their Sydney office. With a strong client base across Australia, this privately owned group is experiencing significant growth and offers a clear pathway to Financial Controller.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day finance operations while supporting strategic initiatives. This is a high-priority appointment designed to relieve the CFO of routine tasks and strengthen the finance function during a period of rapid expansion.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Prepare BAS, ABS and statutory returns for CFO review.
• Support debtor management and collaborate with the AR Manager.
• Assist with financial review of new contracts and pricing for tenders.
• Lead financial audits and liaise with external accountants.
• Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements.
• Build strong relationships across finance, HR, and payroll teams.

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in reviewing AP/AR, preparing for month-end/year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to build credibility and trust with leadership and team members. Proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves. MYOB experience preferred.
