Job Description
Purpose of the Position: The Finance Business Partner leads the financial planning and demand (FP&D) processes for assigned business units, providing financial guidance in compliance with internal policies. Prepares management analysis (actual vs. target), supports decision making, and leads key initiatives for continuous improvement of financial processes. Interacts with all levels of financial and business stakeholders, providing required reports for AbbVie Corporate. Success in this role requires building positive relationships and contributing as both a business and finance professional.
Qualifications
Main Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Demand
• Work closely with Cluster North commercial managers to develop Annual Plan, Long Range Plan, and Latest Best Estimate (LBE), including P&L, headcount, using the designated planning systems for Allergan Aesthetics.
• Support the FP&D Business Manager Cluster North and Cluster North leadership team in preparing and presenting regional results, plans, and projections to Latam Management.
• Challenge and evaluate all business projections and forecasts for accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives, understanding key assumptions and business drivers.
• Together with Affiliate's AMT and Cluster North leadership team, identify risks and opportunities for meeting quarterly and annual objectives, and develop and implement contingency and action plans.
• Provide variance analysis in each planning cycle and prepare management reports for sales and costs. Support the development of action plans to address deviations and capitalize on opportunities.
• Develop and maintain reports for sales, operational expenses, and support for local and regional commercial teams.
• Prepare sales forecasts (in-market and ex-factory) and cost forecasts, monitoring them monthly.
Business Partnering and Commercial Support
• Act as a trusted business partner to the Cluster North leadership teams, providing management reporting, analysis, and insights (e.g., variances vs Plan, LBE, prior year).
• Develop tools to track expenses against assigned budgets.
• Collaborate and provide routine business support to enable informed decision-making.
• Support and drive key projects for process improvement and systems standardization.
• Ensure financial compliance (AbbVie financial policies, Sarbanes Oxley, US GAAP).
• Recommend and implement improvements in controls and processes.
• Review and approve purchase order requests and invoices.
• Support the preparation and submission of demand forecasts with Sales and Marketing Managers.
Additional Information
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
• Minimum 3 years of progressive and relevant experience
• Advanced English (spoken and written)
• Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
• SAP knowledge preferred; SAC knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Ability to build relationships and provide constructive challenge
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Proactive and responsive attitude
