Description
Bank Pictet & Cie (Europe) AG (the "Bank") is seeking to strengthen its European and German Finance team at its European headquarters in Frankfurt am Main with a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (m/f/d).The Bank operates across Europe, with branches in Luxembourg, Spain, Monaco, France, Italy and the UK.
Your role
Working within the Finance department of Bank Pictet & Cie (Europe) AG in Germany, you will report to the Bank's CFO. You will lead the three-person Financial Planning & Analysis team, which is responsible for providing senior management with insightful information and analysis on the Bank's performance. You will also drive the Bank's forecasting, planning and budgeting process, in coordination with the Group Finance team.
In this role, you will take the lead on several key initiatives aimed at driving the Bank's financial and strategic performance. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the management information system (MIS) and optimising the reporting process to ensure efficiency and accuracy. You will also focus on strengthening the Bank's monthly performance analysis across business lines, which involves identifying and monitoring profitability drivers, implementing activity-based costing and ensuring effective budget monitoring. Additionally, you will work on improving financial forecasting capabilities and forward-looking analysis of the profit and loss statement, balance sheet and prudential ratios. This includes conducting sensitivity analyses, scenario planning and stress tests, particularly in support of regulatory requirements such as the ICAAP and ILAAP, in collaboration with the Risk and Treasury departments. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the annual strategic planning and budgeting process in coordination with the Group Finance team and various business lines.
Your profile
A candidate for this position should hold a Master's degree in Finance or Economics or a qualification deemed equivalent. They should bring a minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a proven track record in the field. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong analytical skills, capable of handling stress effectively while maintaining a client-focused attitude. Exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to engage and communicate effectively with the Bank's senior management. Proficiency in standard IT applications is a must, along with expertise in one or more analytical tools. Fluency in both German and English is required, while knowledge of French would be considered an additional asset.
