Investment Analyst - Greater China Consumer / TMT (Hedge Fund)
Location: Hong Kong

A single‑CIO hedge fund is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join its Hong Kong office. The role focuses on in‑depth research and investment analysis across the Greater China consumer and TMT sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on Greater China consumer and TMT companies, including industry mapping, competitive analysis, and financial modelling.
• Generate investment ideas and present well‑supported views to the CIO.
• Monitor existing portfolio positions and track market developments, regulatory trends, and sector catalysts.
• Build and maintain valuation models, scenario analyses, and investment memos.
• Collaborate closely with the portfolio manager to support position sizing, risk assessment, and ongoing thesis refinement.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the buyside (hedge fund or long‑only) as an Investment Analyst covering Greater China consumer or TMT.
• Solid understanding of sector dynamics within China and familiarity with leading players, sub‑sectors, and structural themes.
• Strong analytical skills, financial modelling capability, and ability to form independent investment views.
• Humble, detail‑oriented, and able to work efficiently in a lean team structure.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
