Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of the fund management business. This role ensures that all investment operations, fund administration, trade settlements, and regulatory reporting functions run efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and deep knowledge of financial markets, operational infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Operational Oversight
  • Manage end-to-end fund operations including trade settlement, reconciliation, NAV calculation support, pricing, and fund accounting.
  • Oversee third-party service providers including custodians, fund administrators, transfer agents, and auditors.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., investment, compliance, finance, legal) to ensure seamless operational workflows.
• Process Optimization
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance scalability.
  • Lead automation and digitization initiatives across operations platforms and tools.
• Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure all operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure accurate and timely submission of filings.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks; maintain strong internal control systems.
• Team Leadership & Management
  • Supervise and mentor operational staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational objectives with strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in investment operations or fund administration, preferably within an asset/fund management firm.
• Strong understanding of fund structures (e.g., mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity), and investment instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
• Experience with trade life cycles, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, and compliance procedures.
