We are currently representing an exciting and top performing equity hedge fund who are looking to add an experienced Japan focused Industrials Portfolio Manager to their team.

This is a senior-level mandate, to join a very successful Japan-focused Senior Portfolio Manager who is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished Japan investors globally.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Japan equities, with a strong focus on Industrials.
• Demonstrated ability to generate consistent returns and manage risk effectively.
• Deep understanding of Japanese markets, corporate structures, regulatory environment, and sector dynamics.
• Ability to manage risk effectively and operate within a disciplined investment framework.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and scale a successful book.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Japan Industrials sector coverage, including idea generation, research, and portfolio construction.
• Independently manage a trading book, including risk management, position sizing, and performance optimization.
• Partner with analysts and other PMs to share insights and leverage cross-sector synergies.
• Drive alpha generation through disciplined investment processes and deep sector expertise.
