A well established peak body is seeking a motivated Junior Lawyer to join its student focused legal service. Supporting a diverse and dynamic client base, this organisation delivers high quality legal advice and advocacy across a broad range of matters. You will join a small, collaborative team of four lawyers who collectively manage approximately 1,000 matters per year.
Your new role
As a Junior Lawyer, you will provide timely and practical legal advice to clients seeking support across three core areas:

• Migration
• Tenancy
• Employment
  This is an excellent opportunity for an early career lawyer with 1-2 years PAE to further develop their skills in a high volume, community oriented environment. You will gain hands on experience, contribute to meaningful outcomes for clients, and work closely with senior practitioners in a supportive team setting.

What you'll need to succeed

• Admission as a legal practitioner in an Australian jurisdiction
• 1-2 years post admission experience
• Strong communication and client facing skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines
• A collaborative, service driven approach
• Experience with migration or employment law would be highly advantageous
• Mandarin language skills would be highly regarded but are not essential
