The Client: We are partnering with a premier, global quantitative and systematic investment manager. Driven by data, technology, and a scientific approach to investing, they operate across all liquid asset classes globally.

The Role: Due to global expansion, they are establishing a high-impact Regulatory Technology team. We are seeking a highly senior Lead Python Developer (RegTech) to be the technical anchor in Hong Kong. This is not a standard maintenance role; you will be architecting frameworks from the ground up, driving the technological capabilities of the global compliance function, and engaging directly with senior business leaders.

You will work closely with teams in London and Singapore, taking ownership of the Hong Kong mandate.

What You Will Do:

1. Architect & Build: Design, build, and manage scalable regulatory reporting systems and controls from scratch using Python.
2. Automate: Develop and integrate robust automation solutions utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and modern cloud platforms.
3. Stakeholder Leadership: Serve as the senior technical authority in HK, partnering closely with the business, compliance, and IT teams globally to translate complex regulatory requirements into elegant technical solutions.
4. Optimize: Own data validation, quality assurance, and the continuous optimization of existing risk and compliance pipelines.

What We Are Looking For:

1. Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with previous Tech Lead or Engineering Management experience.
2. Technical Mastery: Polyglot capabilities with deep, elite-level expertise in Python (Note: A HackerRank and live coding assessment is required).
3. Data & Systems: Strong command of SQL, database design, and modern cloud-based software architecture.
4. Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial derivative products and experience building Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory platforms.
5. Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
