About our client

Our client is a private equity-backed underground infrastructure maintenance services group undergoing rapid growth through a buy-and-build strategy across Europe. The business operates within the essential infrastructure maintenance sector, providing critical services to municipalities and commercial clients. Following significant investment from a leading European mid-market fund, the company is expanding its footprint in Germany.

As the group continues to scale, they are seeking an M&A Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in executing the acquisition pipeline across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, analytically minded deal professional to join an ambitious platform with a strong growth trajectory.
What the job involves

• Originate and execute acquisitions across Germany, from initial outreach through to completion
• Conduct valuation, financial analysis, and due diligence coordination
• Engage directly with founders and management teams of target businesses
• Build and maintain a deal pipeline in collaboration with local management and the group's investment team
• Work closely with senior leadership and private equity shareholders to shape the buy-and-build strategy
• Oversee smooth handover of acquired businesses to operational management for integration

Who we are looking for

• Several years of experience in a (PE-backed) Corporate, Corporate M&A, M&A Advisory or Transaction Services
• Demonstrated ability to manage full deal execution and communicate with senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and proactive sourcing mindset - comfortable initiating contact with target companies
• Prior exposure to buy-and-build strategies or blue-collar / industrial services sectors is advantageous
• Confident, proactive communicator with excellent stakeholder management abilities
• Fluent communication in German and English
