We are partnering with a leading financial institution to hire a Manager, SME Due Diligence Oversight within its Compliance function.

This role is responsible for overseeing high-risk SME customer due diligence activities, including onboarding reviews, KYC refresh, and sanctions name screening, while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks. The role also involves leading a small team and working closely with business and compliance stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate risk decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee onboarding and EDD reviews for SME customers, including high-risk entities
2. Manage periodic and trigger-based KYC refresh processes
3. Supervise sanctions name screening alerts and ensure timely resolution/escalation
4. Partner with Relationship Managers and business units to resolve KYC gaps
5. Lead, guide, and develop EDD team members
6. Prepare management reports on risks, trends, and compliance activities
7. Support audits, regulatory reviews, and cross-functional initiatives

Requirements:

1. 7-9 years of experience in AML, EDD, or Compliance within banking/financial services
2. Strong understanding of KYC, sanctions screening, and high-risk customer management
3. Prior team management experience preferred
4. CAMS / ICA certification is an advantage
5. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
