Product Development Manager - London Based

A top global asset manager is searching for a Product Development Manager, working across active, hedge funds and ETF strategy development, across Europe and into Asia. This role will be based in London and will be reporting to the Head of Product Development.

This candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of the product range through product strategy and development across the region. The Product team encompasses multiple specialised units responsible for product across our global portfolio. Our comprehensive product range includes cross-border mutual funds, locally domiciled funds, ETFs, private assets, and alternative investment vehicles.

Our teams are strategically organised around the complete product value chain. We cover the full spectrum from initial market research and product design through development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new, innovative investment strategies across the range, in both ETF and Mutual fund structures
• Connect Investment and Sales teams by leveraging deep financial markets knowledge and distribution expertise
• Facilitate productive exchanges between business functions using problem-solving and pragmatic approaches
• Manage complete product lifecycle from opportunity identification and evaluation through development and market launch
• Apply comprehensive understanding of sustainable product complexities and technical requirements
• Contribute strategic insights to drive organisational performance and support company-wide objectives
• Work closely with the capital markets team, to provide insight and connectivity across the range and new launches

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in product role in the investment management industry
• Knowledge of core business strategy frameworks, competitive analysis, market definition, and product development initiatives
• Strong research and analytical capabilities to evaluate and benchmark market opportunities
• Cross-industry perspective with ability to synthesize insights across channels and sectors
• Deep expertise in fund structures and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, Luxembourg, UK and Ireland ideally
• Experience leading cross-asset class projects spanning diverse product segments
• Knowledge of ESG and sustainable investing product characteristics
• Strong collaborative and influencing skills across cross-functional teams including Investment specialists, Product Legal, Investment Risk, Compliance, Marketing etc
