The Professional Services Project Manager supports the Professional Services Organization with resources and information to implement upcoming projects. Their main duties include maintaining budgets and work schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings and ensuring all deadlines for certain projects are met.
Key Responsibilities
A Project Manager should be able to fulfill various duties and responsibilities. They should be able to work closely with delivery managers and area managers to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets and timeframes for projects. Project Managers perform various coordinating duties such as scheduling and risk management. The following are additional duties and responsibilities that a Project Manager should be able to do:
- Lead project resourcing and scheduling
- Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
- Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions
- Manage project goals, project schedules, and new information
- Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track
- Manage project-related processes by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
- Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails
- Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
- Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience as a Technical Project Manager - Must.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is considered an advantage, other Project Management credentials are valued.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Networking, or related field - Must.
- Experience working in a matrix managed organization.
- Proven experience working in a similar service delivery role in the ICT industry.
- Familiar with IT and networking terminology and technology.
- Flexible and adaptable to working with new concepts and methods of working.
- Able to resolve problems and deliver under pressure.
- Motivated to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience managing executive-level stakeholders and building trusted client relationships.
- Flexible with extended working hours.
- Languages:
- Spanish: native - Must.
- English: high-level proficiency - Must.
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written in both languages.
- Must be eligible to work in Colombia without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
