About the role
Driving commercial growth and market share within the Eastern European market, focusing on RTM strategy and indirect outlet coverage through wholesalers.
Eastern European market operates via distributors on all the covered markets.
Functional Responsibilities
Growth Insight and foresight
- Contributes to Route To Market and indirect channel strategy by insights and expertise.
- External focus to ensure insights and data to enable seeing opportunities, risks and adjusting course to ensure sustainable growth
- Deep understanding of how to influence cost to serve to ensure maximum efficiency of FTE
Strategic Relationship
- Builds and holds collaborative relationship with the business development and wholesaler managers of the assigned countries.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple partners and support functions.
- Influencing and engaging skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Implement smooth and simple ways of working with the Distributor as well as with internal functions to ensure the fastest decision making and execution
Triple Win Proposition
- Influences distributor partners by Triple Win Propositions using growth insight and foresight driven by data.
- Can identify and recommend where and how additional value can be crafted for both the Partner, consumers and Diageo.
- Builds strong network to understand customer needs, consumer habits and competitor best practices.
Revenue Growth Management
- Drives effective decisions on product and category combinations across a multi-country scope to improve portfolio performance and capture more value in the indirect channel.
- Ability to segment wholesaler groups to tailor product offerings, pricing, and promotional activities and distinctive activation for maximum revenue capture.
- Proficiency in analysing large, complex datasets to identify revenue opportunities and risks.
Execution Excellence
- Develops clear guidelines and priorities for route to market and indirect execution strategies.
- Supports and leads change initiatives with the team and distributors, leveraging and sharing best practices across countries.
- Effectively prioritizes short-term and long-term performance goals in planning, execution, and evaluation.
Data Acumen
- Exhibits a high level of data acumen and conceptual thinking, connecting disparate data points to arrive at insights that lead to growth-driving solutions.
- Creates efficient templates and ways of working for partners to facilitate external data collection and insight generation.
Digital Literacy
- Digital Tool Utilization: Proficiently uses and suggests digital tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of both internal teams and distributors.
About you
- 4-6 years commercial experience in route to market or wholesaler management
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies and plans.
- Cross functional experience in key account, distributor management, commercial strategy is a plus.
- Strong understanding of route to market strategies, wholesaler landscape, including key players, market dynamics, and trends in Central/Eastern Europe.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in setting and managing performance metrics and the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
