Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure that all sanitation standards are exceeded.
- Ability to work in warm (< 30 Celsius) or cold environments (0-4 Celsius)
- Comfortable working with raw meat; Chicken
- Able to stand for 8 or 10 hours and complete physically repetitive labour in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work with chemicals and wear protective personal equipment
- Detail orientated
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write and comprehend English proficiently
- Comfortable working with chemicals
- Able to crouch, bend, twist, kneel and navigate the plant
- Able to climb ladders and stairs
- Able to work in indoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Be familiar with lock out and tag out of equipment during sanitization
- Able to work in smaller and confined spaces
- Able to work with large power hoses and facility equipment weighing up to 60lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Execute day-to-day activities including but not limited to, dis-assembly, cleaning, sanitizing, visually inspecting and reassembly of equipment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Warehouse experience
