Overview

At Gallagher, following a period of sustained growth and success, we are making a number of graduate hires into our investment consulting team; based in the Gurugram region.

We're looking for self-motivated, personable and driven individuals with a 1st or a 2:1 in a numerical or economics/finance related degree. In return, we'll deliver to you a high quality training and exam support programme, as well as the opportunity to forge a career within a highly regarded, long-established organisation operating in the Pensions and Benefit consulting world.

The role is providing support to a UK based investment consulting team, so flexibility to work GMT hours is being sought, as well as the possibility of working 6 day/4 day weeks around client deadlines. Info on one week in the office/3 weeks working from home etc.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

The role involves working on a variety of client service delivery projects under the supervision of a locally based team leader.

Delivery/Subject Matter Expertise

• Handling the preparation of performance monitoring reports, including requesting, receiving and reviewing data from investment managers.
• Drafting quarterly single page investment manager/fund performance and investment market summaries.
• Preparation of monthly asset valuation summaries.
• Drafting the investment sections of annual Trustee Report and Accounts.
• Completing the investment sections of the annual Scheme Return submission.
• Maintaining databases of assets under advisement and exposure to investment funds/managers.
• Keeping logs of regulated work and reviewed items.
• Attaining billable hours objective through the production of client deliverables.
• Delivering the above to client specific reporting deadlines.

Client/Market

• Liaising with investment managers on data and administrative matters.
• Communicating client workload issues and seeking help, as needed, in setting priorities.
• Responding to deadlines (from clients and more senior personnel)

Other

• Ensuring work is checked and reviewed as appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable.
• Staying abreast of applicable regulatory requirements.
• Adhering to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs).
• Reporting any suspected issues and breaches to management/compliance department upon discovery.

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and familiarise oneself with investment terms and concepts.
• An interest in investment matters and markets.
• Knowledge & understanding of retirement plans, plan administration, investment markets and investment managers.
• An all-round communicator.
• Able to prioritise, organise and carry out tasks within deadlines.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Proactive and a team player.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer literate.
• Willing to learn and a flexible approach to work.
• Self-starter and good problem solving skills.
• Good listening skills and able to take direction well.
• Numerical degree, keen to start pursuing credentials through the CFA or other relevant qualification
