Description
Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with efficient, nimble and resilient processes through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.Group Ops Capability Centre (GOCC) was formed to accelerate innovation via development and deployment of AI capabilities and COE setups, and at the same time to ensure resiliency and standardization. The function also holds the mandate to oversee digital transformation initiatives across the 3 Lines of Business Ops (LOBOs) and Operations COO functions.
Responsibilities
- Project Management & Execution: Participate in key initiatives for Group Ops Transformation and play a key role in project management and reporting. Support in identification and communication of timely Project RAIDs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Project Master Data Management: Support in maintaining the process and tracking of workflows-workbenches enablement and GenAI (Generative AI) use-cases deployment plans and benefits tracking across Group Operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Liaising: Work closely with Line Ops, Technology teams, Finance teams, RDU controllers, Unit Ops Risk Managers, Data stewards, etc. to drive consistent and fast progress on initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Organize and support in providing project management and governance updates via various forums, working groups, and senior management meetings.
- Senior Leaders' Presentations: Support inpreparation & story-boarding of CEO / Group Heads' monthly-bimonthly updates and annual budget reviews.
- Data-driven Operating Model: Support inthe use, development, and adoption of data-driven operating model for senior stakeholders' update (such as dashboards, control towers, etc.).
- Platform Financials Management & Governance: Support in running the performance management forecast and budgeting process for the underlying Platforms to drive strategic initiatives. This includes appropriate analysis of key business drivers & trends, as well as preparation of insights and commentary. Work closely with Technology and various team to monitor expenses, ensure timely accruals, and provide timely update on the progress of initiatives and enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process enhancement and support initiatives to strengthen the project management and transformation operating model in Group Ops.
- Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience from banking industry - consulting or technology for financial services.
- Banking & Tech knowledge: Good understanding of consumer and/or corporate banking products and processes will be a plus.
- Project Management: Be able to plan and support the delivery of cross functional initiatives using strong project management and organizational skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Be able to manage multiple stakeholders. Ability to work independently and effectively in a team at the same time.
- Storytelling: Ability to support the delivery of senior leadership level decks. Strong PowerPoint and MS Excel skills.
- Focus on Impact: Ability to manage ambiguity, anticipate likely points of controversy, escalate as appropriate, and devise next step actions towards end outcome to create impact.
- Financial Acumen: Preferred analytical & financial management skills of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and project investment management/ prioritization, managing large spreadsheets, and making sense of business drivers and their impact on financials.
- Data Acumen: Preferred data skills to derive insights from multiple datasets and unstructured information flowing in from various channels. Knowledge of data analytical tools would be of advantage.
- Meticulous: Comfortable with managing and analyzing voluminous data, with an eye and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
