What you can expect
Digital innovation is a central strategic priority for DKV. Our ambition is to significantly expand our digital product development in the coming years - across Product, Engineering, Data, and Design - and to build a platform that becomes the backbone of European mobility.
To achieve this, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will shape the future of digital mobility and fleet management together with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and subject-matter experts. This is a rare career opportunity to build products used by hundreds of thousands of companies across Europe and to help shape the mobility of tomorrow in a dynamic and agile environment. Join our diverse, dedicated, and truly unique team!
You can expect exciting challenges, an inspiring environment, and a work culture that combines flexibility and collaboration - supported by our 60/40 hybrid model and our modern offices in Ratingen as a hub for exchanging ideas.
As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- You are responsible for a significant and comprehensive digital product area.
- Through qualitative and quantitative discovery research, you develop a deep understanding of the market and our customers, their problems, and the jobs to be done - you articulate these problems clearly and comprehensibly for your team.
- You manage the roadmap and define what should be developed, when, and why. You communicate this clearly to ensure alignment and excitement.
- You collaborate with Design and Engineering to conceptualize, develop, and launch solutions - from bold future visions to small, focused iterations.
- You use AI to increase your efficiency, accelerate product development, and multiply your team's impact.
- You evaluate impact using quantitative and qualitative metrics, both during the beta phase and after release, and derive adjustments for the roadmap.
- You work with colleagues across the company to ensure that we deliver products with a clear GTM strategy and execution, and you step in hands-on when needed to ensure successful delivery.
- You proactively communicate your team's work across the organization.
- You act as a leader within your team by embodying our company values and serving as a mentor to your colleagues in the Product team.
What makes you stand out
- You have at least 5-6 years of experience as a Product Manager in digital product management.
- You demonstrate strong customer orientation and problem-definition skills, independently understanding, defining, articulating, and evaluating complex customer problems and opportunities using data analyses and qualitative insights, and making targeted decisions based on them.
- You show excellent product judgment, balancing customer needs, business impact, and technical constraints to define, advocate for, and deliver the right product.
- You collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers to deliver effective solutions quickly, and you are also able to accelerate the process independently using AI.
- You define the roadmap for features, products, or priorities in your area and communicate what, when, and why in a way that inspires customers and the team.
- You feel confident working with engineers and customers on modern technologies - from APIs and SaaS infrastructure to low-code tools and system architecture.
- You are results-oriented, defining, advocating for, and communicating progress regarding the impact your product area or project has on customers and the company.
- You demonstrate strong leadership skills, communicate effectively, take ownership, and are able to influence and drive alignment.
- You speak fluent German and English.
