Sydney CBD | Hybrid working 4 days office, 1 day WFHAn ASX listed organisation with a complex, multi state operating footprint is seeking a Senior Group FP&A Analyst to join its high performing corporate finance team.This role sits at the centre of group wide financial planning and analysis, partnering closely with senior leaders to deliver insight that directly informs strategic and commercial decision making. Based in the Sydney CBD, the position offers strong exposure to executive stakeholders, meaningful analytical work and clear long term career progression within a listed environment.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role suited to a commercially minded FP&A professional who enjoys working beyond routine reporting and wants to influence outcomes at a group level.
You will play a key role in shaping budgets, forecasts and business plans while contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the annual budget, business plan and rolling forecasts, including group consolidation and analysis
• Delivering clear, insightful financial analysis to senior management to support decision making
• Monitoring and analysing departmental costs across functions such as IT, Operations and Legal
• Building, maintaining and enhancing financial models, templates and forecasting tools
• Conducting scenario and sensitivity modelling to assess risks, opportunities and investment decisions
• Providing ad hoc commercial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business growth
• Tracking and analysing group KPIs and key operational drivers
• Driving process improvement and best practice FP&A across the function
About You
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning within a large corporate or ASX listed environment
• Demonstrated three way financial modelling experience is essential
• Advanced Excel capability with strong PowerPoint skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with business performance management tools such as IBM Planning Analytics is advantageous
