Description

Summary and Duties:

• Responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of all settlement for equities and fixed income with both local and global markets as well as cheque clearing processing.
• Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all corporate action events, requiring a deep understanding of international market practices, regulatory nuances, and financial instruments.
• Drives process improvements and collaborates with different functions across departments to support current or new product launches and system enhancements, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency in corporate action and transversal processing.
• Identifies and addresses operational challenges within corporate actions, implementing solutions to maintain smooth workflows and meet business objectives.
• Oversees the management of manpower resources within the settlement and cheque clearing team, fostering a high-performing and compliant team environment.
• Act as an escalation point for internal and external stakeholders on settlement or cheque matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience in outsourcing/near-shoring.
• 10-15 years' + banking experience, solid knowledge in Settlement and cheque clearing operation.
• Experience in working on identifying target operating models and process re-engineering.
• Strong understanding of the banking industry and its regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Strong leadership and provide advisory on to operational SMEs to drive for success.
• Close collaboration with operational risk functions to ensure sufficient oversight to the line team and near-shored teams and payment team in GSC.
