We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Head of Ireland Derivative Support to join our Fund and Investor Services Client Platform team. This role is located in Dublin - Ireland.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Work with clients and internal teams to support onboarding of new funds, clients, and OTC products
- Review term-sheet review for complex/nonstandard OTCs
- Oversee asset creation of OTC security types
- Ensure all OTC trades processed correctly to accounting platform
- Manage OTC Derivative Lifecycle Event Processing including daily interest accruals, maturity events, credit events and other CCP accounting requirements
- Reconcile OTC Derivative positions and resolve exceptions
- Manage OTC related queries and resolution
- Work closely with accounting operations and Middle office
- Assist with external audit queries in relation to OTC assets
- Oversee conversion, fund and product launch activities for OTC positions
- Have direct client interaction
- Work as part of a global team driving consistency and best practice in process and controls
- Manage a team of up to 10 dedicated Derivative Support professionals
- Responsible for driving automation via adoption of digital tools and AI
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives and exchange-traded products (e.g., interest rate swaps, credit/default swaps, equity options, futures, FX derivatives) and trade lifecycle management, margining and collateral. Derivative valuations would be an advantage
- Knowledge/Prior experience on Hedge Funds and / or Mutual Funds
- Solid understanding of fund accounting principles and derivative accounting treatment.
- Strong Team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to adapt quickly to various working environments our clients operate within;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Mature and confident person with excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and impart technical knowledge;
- A self-starter with an ability to work on their own initiative, but knowing when to seek assistance and work collaboratively;
- Energy, enthusiasm and passion for a new challenge.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's degree or professional qualification such as CFA, FRM is an advantage).
- 3+ years experience in derivatives operations within asset management, investment banking, or fund administration
