Description
The Leidos Service Inventory Control team is seeking an experience Inventory Control Specialist to support material accuracy, warehouse operations, and inventory integrity across multiple locations. This role is responsible for researching and resolving inventory discrepancies, supporting inventory transactions and cycle counts, and partnering with internal teams and third part logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure accurate inventory records.The Inventory Control Specialist contributes to audits, physical inventories, and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and contractual requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances and adjustments
- Review inventory transactions and cycle count results to ensure system accuracy
- Partner with warehouse teams, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), Procurement, and Planning to resolve inventory issues
- Support inbound, outbound, in-transit, and quarantine inventory processes across locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records, support audits and physical inventories, and contribute to process improvement
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to learn and adapt to various ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience supporting inventory control, material management, or warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to research and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers
- Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities
- Familiarity with procurement coordination and purchase order discrepancy resolution
- Experience supporting warehouse transfers, returns, or inventory adjustments
- Experience in a regulated, government, or service-based supply chain environment

Pay Range:
Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
