PRIMARY FUNCTION

Oversee high-quality resolution of any inquiries or rework necessary to support a successful Sourcing experience for both our customers and for Grainger. Scope of work may include issue investigation, quote preparation and rework, returns and successful communications with suppliers, customers and business partners to ensure the most optimal solution is reached for all involved. Reports to Supervisor, Sourcing.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and rework quotes and orders following standard process to deliver the most value for our customers and for Grainger.
• Communicate with suppliers, sellers, customers, and other partners to understand the issue at hand and bring to successful resolution of Sourcing's most complex challenges.
• Weighs customer and requestor needs with the needs of the business, performing a root cause analysis where necessary to arrive at the best, most appropriate solution.
• Produce the simplest solutions to solve even the most complicated of issues, providing the best possible experience for both our internal and external customers.
• Escalate to resolve seller, supplier or customer challenges that require additional support.
• Maintain high levels of productivity, maximizing working time to produce the appropriate levels of activity.
• Ensure customer expectations for timing are met.
• Understand how to navigate all areas of Sourcing to manage work and redirect to appropriate areas.
• Embrace curiosity and change, sharing ideas and best practices to contribute to Sourcing's vision for becoming best-in-class.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• More than 1 year of experience in related field.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and customers, with the ability to resolve confusion and partner to solve shared challenges.
• Demonstrated capability for managing complex bodies of work and troubleshooting multi-faceted challenges
• Capability to manage multiple plans and bodies of work at the same time.
• Experience managing large volumes of work.
• Partner and work with all levels of management both internally and externally.
• Strength in building relationships, both internally and with external partner.
• Proficiency with excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish - read, write, speak).
