In Japan, Second Foundation operates as an aggregator and developer in the electricity market, with a particular focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS), dispatch optimization, and market trading, further strengthening our global commitment to advancing the future of energy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to assist our sales team in the Japanese market, focused on onboarding new flexible assets to our virtual power plant. The ideal candidate will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, ensuring our clients receive outstanding service and the best solutions for their business needs. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as you'll be a critical link between our internal teams and our customers in Japan.

The position is also suitable for fresh graduates.

What would you work on?

• Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales process (technical assessment, product presentations, solution demonstrations, etc.).
• Respond to technical inquiries from clients and deliver tailored product recommendations based on customer needs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure smooth implementation and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and translate technical documentation, proposals, and presentations for local clients.
• Deliver end to end asset onboarding - from setting up device connectivity, agreeing on technical operations, testing assets, to prequalification for ancillary services.
• Oversee portfolio of BESS assets and ensure with analytics maximization of profitability.
• Train and educate customers on product features and updates.
• Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.

What makes you a great candidate?

• University degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in technical sales support or a similar customer-facing role is welcomed.
• Native/fluent Japanese with professional-level English.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of Japanese business culture and sales practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
