Description
Join our dynamic Markets Operations team as a Trade Lifecycle Associate, and you will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive operational support for Equities business.APAC Securities Operations Settlements is responsible for supporting settlements of equities and fixed income trades for JPM Asia Legal Entities and JPMorgan Affiliates in Asian markets. The team's primary function is to ensure providing accurate settlement related information to the Middle Offices and Client Service Teams and to ensure timely settlement of trades in the market.
Job responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, error-free operations by promptly identifying and escalating exceptions, adhering to firm policies and SOPs, and proactively seeking process improvements with a focus on addressing recurring issues and understanding their broader impact.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration by engaging with key stakeholders, participating in ongoing training, cross-training colleagues, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of SOPs and control points. Acts with ownership, partnership, and a positive team mindset.
- Provide effective supervisory support in managing daily business deliverables, including trade instruction releases, settlement activities, inventory and position management, and inter-company reconciliations, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure service quality and operational excellence by supervising staff, maintaining and updating procedure documentation, identifying needs for additional controls, investigating and escalating issues, providing regular reporting, assisting with appraisals, and actively participating in projects and process re-engineering to drive efficiency and adapt to business changes.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Graduate or Postgraduate with at least 6 years of experience in banking, financial services, treasury, or related functions, with solid familiarity in equity, fixed income products, post-trade lifecycle management, settlements, fails management and post settlements functions (e.g., reconciliation cash, asset/stock breaks).
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and guide teams through essential processes.
- Maintains a robust control and audit mindset, with a clear understanding of industry policies and regulations relating to Securities Operations, and excels at building relationships through partnership and collaboration with cross-functional teams and managing time effectively.
- Adapts well to dynamic environments, including working extended hours or holidays during peak periods, and consistently meets deadlines and quality standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Tableau) and communicates effectively in written and spoken English with key stakeholders.
