THE ORGANIZATION: Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA) are national Latino-led civic engagement organizations working year-round to strengthen democracy and empower our communities.
MFA, a 501(c)(3), focuses on nonpartisan programs such as citizenship, voter registration, voter education, and leadership development on key issues, including immigration, education, healthcare, voting rights, workers’ rights, reproductive rights, and the environment.
MFV, a 501(c)(4) organization, builds Latino political power through advocacy, organizing, and mobilization to ensure that Latino voices shape the policies that impact their health, safety, and prosperity.
Together, we operate one of the largest Latino civic engagement infrastructures in the country, with programs across eight states (Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida) and Washington, D.C.
Position Overview
Under the leadership of the National Director of Campaigns & Programs, the National Campaigns & Programs Manager drives excellence across MFV’s field and campaign work by supporting State Directors and program leadership in planning, executing, and evaluating statewide voter contact programs. This role ensures alignment between national strategy and state implementation, strengthens team performance, and builds the systems that allow MFV’s state programs to anticipate challenges and deliver results.
The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder, a clear and proactive communicator, and a coach-minded manager who thrives in fast-paced electoral environments and brings a solutions-oriented approach to complex challenges. Preference will be given to candidates that reside in AZ, CA, CO, GA, FL, NC, NV, TX, and Washington DC. This position is expected to travel up as needed to provide direct support to our teams on the ground, particularly during electoral seasons.
Program Functions
Under the direction of the Director of Campaigns & Programs, oversees all national campaign efforts. Collaborate with the Campaigns & Programs team to draft MFV / MFVEF national strategy and associated budgets. Mentors and supports State staff for all inquiries related to campaigns & programs, providing coaching, guidance, and performance support. Builds strong, trust-based relationships with State staff and overcommunicates expectations, timelines, and next steps to ensure clarity and alignment. Collaborate with Campaigns & Programs teams to determine strategic programming opportunities for MFV’s expansion states. Anticipates challenges and identifies solutions early, helping State staff to plan ahead, mitigate risks, and execute high-quality electoral programs. Lead projects to systematize MFV’s programmatic work (e.g., alignment, standardization, training, etc.). Collaborate with the Communications department to ensure that state-based campaigns and programs are planned and implemented with effective messaging and communication strategies. Support the adoption of strong data collection and management practices for state-based campaigns and programs; collaborate with the Data department to ensure implementation metrics are tracked and KPIs met. Supports the State Director and Development Team with state fundraising efforts by developing compelling narratives to share the powerful work of the organization. Drives strong program performance by setting clear expectations, tracking progress, and supporting teams in meeting and exceeding goals. Supports State leadership in managing up effectively by helping them ask clarifying questions, elevate issues early, and communicate needs proactively. Models a coaching approach—equipping State staff to problem-solve, self-assess, and grow in their roles while holding themselves and their teams accountable.
Management Functions
Creates and maintains an environment of professionalism, ensuring fluid communication among state and national staff. Models overcommunication and proactive information-sharing across stakeholders to prevent misalignment and support smoother execution. Provides constructive feedback and assists leadership in driving the general vision and direction of the organization. Champions a culture of high accountability—holding self and others to commitments, deadlines, and performance standards. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision-making. Manages up effectively by asking clarifying questions, ensuring expectations are understood, and communicating risks and needs with precision. Represents the organization internally and externally, speaking on behalf of the organization when necessary. May participate in hiring efforts of program staff/interns/fellows/volunteers. Demonstrates strong management instincts—balancing relational leadership with a drive for results, clarity, and continuous improvement. Brings experience managing electoral campaigns or large-scale civic engagement programs, using that expertise to strengthen MFV’s operational readiness and strategic execution.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years in a program development and management role and/or experience in candidate or issue-based campaigns, with an understanding of direct voter contact programs. Understanding of the US political and demographic landscape and desire to engage the Latino electorate. Strong data management and analysis skills and working knowledge of Google Sheets, Voter Activation Network (VAN), EveryAction, and phone and text banking platforms such as Scale to Win and Spoke Experience conveying the purpose and value of strong program management practices to a wide range of audiences and properly training a team to learn new systems and processes. Effective communicator, detail-oriented, flexible, and responsive to shifting demands, multiple projects, and deadlines. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desired.
