About the job BUSINESS ANALYST - RETAIL BANKING (ACCOUNTS & LENDING)Purpose
Lead the functional analysis and business requirements for Accounts and Lending, covering end-to-end customer journeys, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process design, vendor collaboration, and delivery support to ensure successful implementation of banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of end-to-end customer and operational journeys for retail and corporate accounts, current accounts, and lending products.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process flows, business rules, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops with business, operations, risk, credit, compliance, AML, fraud, collections, technology, and other stakeholders to validate requirements and resolve functional gaps.
- Define and document requirements across the complete product lifecycle, including onboarding, origination, assessment, approvals, disbursement, account maintenance, servicing, controls, exception handling, and collections where applicable.
- Identify integration points with core banking systems, digital channels, CRM, fraud, AML, reporting platforms, and other downstream applications.
- Clarify business rules, data requirements, approval workflows, operational handoffs, and system dependencies to ensure complete functional coverage.
- Support vendor engagement by conducting solution walkthroughs, explaining business processes, functional requirements, pain points, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain traceability of requirements, assumptions, decisions, action items, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure business requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with UAT planning and execution.
- Support delivery continuity by managing stakeholder expectations, resolving functional issues, and ensuring timely closure of outstanding clarifications.
Expected Profile
- Strong domain expertise in Retail and Corporate Banking, with hands-on experience in Accounts, Current Accounts, and Lending products.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Lead within banking transformation or core banking implementation programs.
- Extensive experience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, business process documentation, and leading requirements workshops.
- Strong understanding of account lifecycle management, customer servicing, and retail lending processes, including personal finance, home finance, and other lending products.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, operations, risk, credit, compliance, AML, fraud, technology, and external vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality functional documentation.
