Are you an experienced Finance Manager or Transactional Finance Leader looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead a well-established transactional finance function, with a particular focus on people leadership, team development and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who has successfully managed finance teams in positions such as Finance Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Transactional Finance Manager or Shared Services Team Leader. Whilst experience within transactional finance is important, your ability to lead, motivate and develop people is the key priority.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll be responsible for managing a team of nine within the transactional finance function, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while driving performance, service levels and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 9 transactional finance professionals.
- Drive team performance through regular one-to-ones, coaching and development plans.
- Oversee the smooth running of Accounts Payable and wider transactional finance activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage workloads, resolve escalated issues and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Support month-end activities, reconciliations and payment processes.
- Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service and processes.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement and operational teams to deliver business objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement and support system and process enhancements.
We're looking for a strong people manager who can inspire and develop teams while maintaining high operational standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience managing finance teams as a Finance Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Transactional Finance Manager or similar.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- A solid understanding of transactional finance processes.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- AAT qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of ERP/finance systems.
- A track record of driving process improvements.
