The Role

Key Responsibilities

Trade Booking & Trade Lifecycle Management

• Accurately capture, enrich, and book multi-asset trades (Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives) into the internal Order Management System (OMS) and Portfolio Management System (PMS) in a timely manner.
• Manage corporate actions, coupon payments, and expiry/roll processing for derivatives products.

Pre- & Post-Trade Operations

• Oversee pre-trade operational readiness, including checking account setups and compliance parameters.
• Perform post-trade allocations, trade matching, and electronic confirmations via industry platforms (e.g., CTM, Oasis, or Traiana) with institutional counterparties and executing brokers.

Trade Settlement & Clearing

• Coordinate directly with prime brokers, custodians, and clearing houses to ensure seamless, straight-through processing (STP) and settlement of global trades.
• Proactively monitor, investigate, and resolve trade fails, position mismatches, and settlement breaks to minimize financial and operational risk.

Reconciliation & Risk Mitigation

• Perform daily, comprehensive three-way reconciliations across positions, cash balances, and transactions between internal records, prime brokers, and custodians.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve all breaks, escalating high-risk anomalies to senior management and the trading desk immediately.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the primary operational point of contact for traders, portfolio managers, compliance teams, and external counterparties.
• Continuously review internal workflows to automate manual processes, minimize operational alpha loss, and enhance system scalability.

Your Profile

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Trade Operations, Middle Office, or Settlements within an investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm.
• Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of the operational lifecycles of Equities, Fixed Income/Bonds, and Derivatives (including Futures, Options, and Swaps).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with trade routing and matching platforms, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with major OMS/PMS platforms. Experience with SQL or Python for automation is a major advantage.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting and investigative skills; a natural knack for resolving complex data breaks and discrepancies.
• Communication: Crisp, calm, and effective communication skills-essential for working with fast-paced trading desks and external clearing partners under market pressure.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a time-sensitive, dead-line-driven environment.
