About Your Company

King Deux is partnering with a prominent and well-capitalized Single Family Office in the expansion of the Hong Kong set up. with a global allocation approach to major GPs, active stock picking and co-investment opportunities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Associate to join our growing team. This role is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of a family office, working directly with the leadership/Principal.

You will play a critical role in the research, selection, and monitoring of external fund managers, with a primary focus on liquid strategies (including long-only equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and liquid alternatives). The ideal candidate brings a disciplined fund-of-funds or institutional allocator background, combined with the technical skills to implement modern data tools into our investment process.

Candidates are expected to be strong in navigating the research and investment process using Claude code.

About your role

1. In-House Model Development: Design, build, and iterate on quantitative models and scoring frameworks to screen, rank, and evaluate external fund managers.
2. Manager Selection & Due Diligence: Conduct deep-dive qualitative and quantitative due diligence on external fund managers across global liquid markets (Hedge Funds, Long/Short, Macro, Multi-Strat, Fixed Income).
3. AI & Workflow Integration : Utilize AI tools and LLMs to synthesize fund newsletters, automate data extraction from DDQs/memos, and streamline the research pipeline.
4. Portfolio & Risk Monitoring: Build dashboards to track performance attribution, factor exposures, and risk metrics across existing fund investments.
5. Investment Committee Preparation: Draft data-driven investment memos and present clear, model-backed recommendations to the Investment Committee / Principal.
6. Infrastructure Building: Partner with leadership to establish a tech-forward data infrastructure for a newly launched family office.

What you will need to succeed

1. 2 to 5 years of experience within a Fund of Funds (FoF), institutional allocator (Endowment, Foundation, SWF), or Multi-Family Office.
2. Proven track record in manager research for liquid strategies, with a strong point of view on what drives manager alpha.
3. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. CFA (or progress toward it) is a plus.
