What We're Looking For:
In this rapidly evolving world, Zebra Technologies is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We're seeking an experienced product owner to help lead this mission. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of a project in Scrum. The product owner is responsible for managing and optimizing the product backlog in order to maximize the value of the product and ensure product vision is met. We need someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most important, we need a product owner who can help us build better products that people love to use.
Objectives of this role

• Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project
• Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
• Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI
• Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management

Responsibilities

• They are the communication link between the customer, product manager and the development team. The product owner is the embodiment of the customer's voice inside the development team
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
• Builds and sets production process priorities to make sure the development team knows specifically what thing to focus on in order of importance.
• The product owner is present at all team meetings with other internal stakeholders such as the scrum master to make sure that the whole development process is following the product roadmap created by the product manager.
• Gives constructive feedback on the ratified product roadmap. This is a communication link between the product owner and the product manager.
• Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
• Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
• Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions

Required skills and qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in product development
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
• Understanding of business value related to features and functions
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related discipline
• Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technology
